  • 8 oz Fresh mozzarella - Drained sliced to match tomato rounds
  • 12–15 Fresh basil leaves - Washed and gently dried
  • 2–3 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil - For drizzling
  • ½ teaspoon Sea salt - Or more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper - Freshly ground
  • 1–2 teaspoon Balsamic glaze - Optional for finishing
  • 1 loaf Crusty bread - Optional for serving and soaking juices

Method
 

  1. Slice ripe tomatoes into thick rounds, slice mozzarella to match, and wash and dry basil leaves.
