- Mix ranch seasoning into ground beef, form patties slightly larger than buns, and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Start bacon in a cold pan, cook until crispy but not burnt, and drain on paper towels. Save bacon fat for the burgers.
- Heat pan with bacon fat, cook patties for 4 minutes on the first side, flip and add cheese, cook for 3-4 more minutes for medium.
- Toast the buns with butter during the last minute of cooking the patties.
- Spread mayo on buns, layer lettuce, cheese-topped patty, crispy bacon, and any desired toppings (tomato, onion, pickles).
