  • 1–2 tablespoon Fresh lime juice - Start with less and adjust to taste
  • ¼ cup Red onion - Finely diced
  • 1 Jalapeño - Seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh cilantro - Chopped more to taste
  • 1 clove Garlic - Minced
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt - Adjust to taste
  • Roma tomato - Optional seeded and diced
  • Black pepper - Optional to taste
  • pinch Cumin - Optional secret family trick

Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl (Wide enough for mashing avocados comfortably)
  • 1 Fork (For mashing (or use potato masher for speed))
  • 1 Sharp knife (For precise dicing of onions and peppers)
  • 1 Cutting board (Preferably one that can handle citrus juice)
  • 1 Spoon (For scooping avocado flesh easily)

Method
 

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large bowl.

  2. Immediately squeeze fresh lime juice over the avocado to prevent browning.
